Week 1

Getting started

On the first day as a group we defined the overarching primary themes that our unit was going to investigate. We pinned several A1's to the wall and split them into the following topics: Healthcare, Education, Governance, Portugal, Scotland, Rural, Urban, Centralised, Decentralised and Artificial Intelligence.

We used this exercise to firstly establish and discuss what our initial thoughts, interests and assumptions were. From here we investigated topics in a bit more detail, forming new connections between various headings and subheadings as we went. This helped to open up avenues of research we wouldn't have otherwise considered, and to triangulate particular areas of shared interest.

This exercise gave us clear direction to dive into some thorough research and analysis, documented through Miro so that we could keep a constant eye on everyone's progress, and could easily share particular points of interest.
