Communicating our research

This week, our team focused on shaping the direction of our group project and how we would present our findings as a concise, professional, yet playful body of work. To present the main body and research of our work we decided on a website: our research topics are current with many of them in a daily state of flux. The website format allows us to keep information constantly up-to-date, as well as allowing us to present our work in a more interactive and engaging format than a book. To introduce ourselves as a studio unit and our unit aims, we also decided to produce a short playful video- 'D4D: The Movie'.

This process began with brainstorming ideas and outlining the narrative for our video, creating storyboards as a group to define our message and how we communicate it. We divided tasks within the group across the production of both the website and video, ensuring that each person’s strengths were used effectively across design, research, and media production.

Significant progress was made on our website, establishing a layout, navigational pathways and starting to upload content. Our research was translated into clear, visually engaging diagrams, and we refined our written content to suit the overall tone and format of the project.
